If you’ve spent any time reading or watching content critiquing Calvinism, then you have certainly noticed the intensity of its defenders. The comment sections of YouTube videos, blog posts, and social media statuses are filled with Calvinists who relentlessly push back. The core of their argument is often that anyone who disagrees with Calvinism simply doesn’t understand Calvinism.
So who are these people? What kind of people are drawn to Calvinism? Who finds this detailed, systematic approach to theology appealing?
An interesting discussion that fits with my observations from the past few decades as I’ve moved in and out of Calvinist circles.
