The Return of A Woman’s Freedom in Christ

I mentioned a few times over the past several weeks that I was thinking of taking up the topic of women in the church again here on my blog. I once had another website named A Woman’s Freedom in Christ. I wrote on it for a number of years, but finally closed it down when the intersectionality and woke madness really started to infiltrate things online. I did not have the time to keep up and I did not want to be associated in any way with the people pushing those heresies on the church.

When I reviewed the archived posts to make sure I really and truly wanted to wade into these waters again, I was honestly surprised by not only how many there were but also how many really good ones I had written. I had forgotten how much time I invested in them to create quality, thought-provoking content. I came across this from one of my later posts when I had taken the website down and then put it back up when someone asked.

I’ve noticed as I watch the incoming traffic that there are many people who come and stay a long time. They read many posts, they take many outgoing links, etc. They never say anything or leave a comment. But they are reading. Like me many years ago, I am guessing they are searching for answers to the questions they have about women in the body of Christ.

That’s from a post I haven’t gotten to yet to republish, but I had forgotten that. It was true. People would spend a long time on that website. They would come back day after day. I provided solid content for conservative, Bible-believing Christians who knew something was terribly wrong in the church but couldn’t put words to it.

I’ve currently republished about a dozen of the posts. If you’ve never read them, this is the first post in the series: A Woman’s Freedom in Christ | New Series.

To put it in perspective, that initial post is from 2010 and Caroline had just turned four. It was a lifetime ago in our ongoing saga of struggling to find a church that works for all of us. For the record, our time at the church mentioned so hopefully in that post ended badly just a relatively short time later. I was so hurt by what happened, it took me many years to even consider becoming a member of another church. If it weren’t for Caroline, I think it’s likely I might have opted out of institutional churches from that point on in my life. 

It will take me some time to republish the posts. There are 124 in total, but I expect I won’t republish all of them. Most of them need a new image since the posts are 10-15 years old. Many posts are interlinked so that takes some time to sort out as well. I focused first on republishing the original series (almost done) and then adding the posts that were most popular or I think provide very important content.

If you are interested in this topic, just check that category archive each time you stop by to see which ones I’ve added since I won’t be republishing them in any particular order and I will be leaving them with their original publication date. I hope in the days, months, and years ahead they bless another group of Christian men and women who earnestly desire to serve Jesus in a way that is faithful to the Scriptures.
