Donald Trump Roasts Hillary Clinton at 2016 Al Smith Charity Dinner

There are many people who are just now (in 2023) starting to question what is happening in this country. For that reason, I am going to be highlighting events and information that many of us take for granted. We knew of it so long ago that we don’t even think about it any longer. It’s part of all the information we’ve taken in over the past several years to get us to the point where we have our opinions about what is going on.

I think many people who haven’t been paying attention in any detail have never seen this video before. This is from the Al Smith Charity Dinner in 2016. Each presidential candidate roasts the other.

No one was expecting what Donald Trump stood up and said. You can feel the shock in the room. It gets to the point where Clinton can’t even hide her emotions any longer. It was at this event that Clinton realized Trump was truly on the other team.

I’ve embedded the exact video mentioned in this drop. It’s worth it to watch the entire clip so you see how the roast builds, but take special note of the timestamps listed below.

If you don’t know the significance of Haiti, you will soon. Or you can dig and spend some time looking at what it says about Haiti here.

This was VERY interesting about how much Trump knew was going on at that time. You can sense the tension in the room and how much people disliked what he was saying. I am familiar with what she has done, or really not done to help those in Haiti.

      Hi Kris,

I apologize for getting behind in responding to your comments! I always appreciate them!

President Trump has been involved with this stuff way longer than most of us realized. It’s up for discussion how far it goes back, but I’m confident it goes back to at least the 2010-2011 timeframe. Some say decades and that “The Apprentice” and such was part of a decades-long strategy going back to just after President Kennedy was assassinated. It will be interesting to find out the truth.

Remember that line in his speech – “I always knew this day would come. It was just a matter of when.”

A Christian Nation

"The real object of the first amendment was not to countenance, much less to advance, Mahometanism, or Judaism, or infidelity, by prostrating Christianity; but to exclude all rivalry among christian sects, and to prevent any national ecclesiastical establishment, which should give to a hierarchy the exclusive patronage of the national government."

Joseph Story (Associate Justice of the Supreme Court), Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States (1833), § 1871.
