Huckabee on the Chosen People, Being in Israel

Mike Huckabee is the Ambassador to Israel. I already wrote about him in Huckabee and Those Blessed By God. Here is his newest take. Do you believe this accurately reflects all of the Bible? The New Testament? What Jesus said?

Lastly, take a look at this video. I can’t find a way to embed it. Tell me if this sounds like a normal way for an American ambassador to discuss the country to which he is assigned. Would you accept this kind of rhetoric from an ambassador to any other country?

‘I Can’t Leave’: Trump Ambassador Mike Huckabee Claims He’s ‘Addicted’ To Israel, Will Not Leave The Country

In Interview Trump Ambassador Mike Huckabee, who serves as the Ambassador to Israel, claimed that he is addicted to the nation of Israel during a recent interview. He claimed that he struggles to leave the country.

Mike Huckabee is supposed to be the American ambassador to Israel. This is either so embarrassing or so wicked. I can’t figure out which it is yet. Or maybe it’s both. The man appears to have no ability to think clearly where Israel is involved. None.

“But, to make this even stranger, The New York Times is reporting that this meeting wasn’t just Huckabee and Pollard. Mark Levin’s stepson, David Milstein, was also involved. Milstein is a senior figure at the US Embassy in Jerusalem, and Levin has been one of the most radical and aggressive voices pushing the Israel First line inside MAGA. So the fact that his stepson helped facilitate an off-the-record meeting with Jonathan Pollard, of all people, raises some very serious eyebrows.

Nobody knows how deep Milstein’s role goes, but the optics are awful.”

A Christian Nation

"The real object of the first amendment was not to countenance, much less to advance, Mahometanism, or Judaism, or infidelity, by prostrating Christianity; but to exclude all rivalry among christian sects, and to prevent any national ecclesiastical establishment, which should give to a hierarchy the exclusive patronage of the national government."

Joseph Story (Associate Justice of the Supreme Court), Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States (1833), § 1871.
