Reading the New Testament Books in the Order They Were Written

Here’s a new idea for reading the New Testament. Read the books in the order in which they were written. There is a steady progression of certain topics in them that you miss if you only read them in the order of the Bible or chronologically according to history.

Below are two charts sourced from different resources. I specifically based them on a pre-70 AD date for Revelation since I believe that is probably the most accurate.

If you haven’t explored the discussion over the dating of the book of Revelation, here is a post I did about it: Dating the Book of Revelation.

A Christian Nation

"The real object of the first amendment was not to countenance, much less to advance, Mahometanism, or Judaism, or infidelity, by prostrating Christianity; but to exclude all rivalry among christian sects, and to prevent any national ecclesiastical establishment, which should give to a hierarchy the exclusive patronage of the national government."

Joseph Story (Associate Justice of the Supreme Court), Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States (1833), § 1871.
